The couple that had restored this cottage kept the tradition too original as if the wooden, hand-hewn timbers and the carefully figured joints could tell their story of days through the ages. A generous covered porch runs the entire length of the front and is just the kind of place to have your morning coffee accompanied by the murmurs of the wind in the leaves or the first rays of the sun going up the hills.
A couple of simple but comfortable wooden rocking chairs and a small table made the porch a natural extension of the living space, thus it was perfect for both lonely reflections or friendly talks while the day was about to begin.
This charming cabin gives off a familiar, comfortable vibe as soon as you open the door. The main room with the original wooden walls that have been so carefully and thoughtfully preserved, creates a feeling of warmth and intimacy. Their beautiful deep golden hue, softened by the passage of time and intensified by the natural light that comes through the windows was an amazing sight. The exposed rafters together with wooden fan adds more character, charm and height to the room thus making it feel airy and spacious even though the cabin is of a very modest size. The fireplace in the lounge makes the perfect family setting where firewood crackling warms your soul and lights the whole room with a golden hue.
In order to cook the meals, prepare a tea or even just wash the dishes the kitchen has aplenty of counter space both around the sink and the cooker. Beside this, it is equipped with all the necessary modern appliances, yet it has not lost its rustic feel at all due to the fact that the original floorboards were left intact and complemented with the new kitchen cabinets.
